Party time!

Claire threw me a great party yesterday. BBQ, Mexican, margaritas, the works. Thanks to her for arranging, and to many friends for stopping by. Lots of folks said they enjoyed getting their daily dose of this blog - it provided me with an invaluable way to reflect and connect to home. I'm just so relieved the story had a happy ending (beautifully recounted in today's Austin American Statesman by Pam LeBlanc - thanks, Pam!).

Now, about that next race...

Hey Russell - If you get pickup duty on the veggies, please say hey to my family. My wife would like to meet you. She has some clients that were keeping up with the blog. If you are there in the evening, then maybe you will catch me at home.

Hi Russell! Congrats from all the folks from Verizon. I kept them relatively up-to-date on your journey...and especially the finish. We are so proud of you! The party sounds like lots of fun. If you're ever up this way, or I that way, I would love to buy you a congratulatory adult beverage of your choosing! ;o)
