I suppose a guy could get used to a view like that. I mean, you'd pretty much have to, right?

Good thoughts heading your way for the next four days, Russ.

TO those who have been following Russ' epic run, in case you didn't know:

In September 2005, Russ completed the Transe Galue in which he ran 725 miles across France in 18 days, averaging 40 miles per day. The race started on the Brittany coast in Roscoff and ended on the Mediterranean coast near Narbonne. Russ placed 11th out of 24 finishers.

In September 2007, Russ completed the Deutschlandlauf, which consisted of running 800 miles across Germany in 17 days, averaging 45 miles per day. The race started on the Baltic Sea coast in Ruegen and ended on the Swiss border in Loerrach. In spite of injuries and pain, Russ placed 14th out of 42 finishers.

In September 2008, Russ ran the Tahoe Ultra. The 72.2-mile course is the circumference of Lake Tahoe. Russ placed fourth overall in the time of 14 hours and 6 minutes.

Go Russ!! Enjoy the next 4 days because while you may be looking forward to being done, as soon as you finish you'll be plotting your next exploit. I am blown away everyday when I read your blog of this incredible acheivement. Like another person who reads your blog, I brag about you to plenty of my non running friends.
