A much better day...

A quick summary of the best day so far:

'Only' 45 miles!
Beautiful weather.
Outstanding Bavarian farms & villages.
Nice lady who offered me a bunch of grapes (vineyards are everywhere).
My legs are back & working!
Only 5 'even shorter' days to go.

Got plans for the weekend? Me, I'm planning to run. Have a great time whatever.

Yay, Russell! It's great to see you so reenergized. Enjoy your runs this weekend and next week! Diana, I'm so glad you were there to encourage Russell through the tougher times. Way to go!

I wish I had a German analogy for seeing the end of the road, but the only thing that comes to mind is, "Your sister makes everything into schnibles", which is neither an analogy nor German. The finish line is in sight!!! Keep up the good work. --Degner

It's so good to hear that you finally had a good day! 5 "shorter" days sounds wonderful considering what you've been through.

I'm catching a flight to Chicago to visit a friend. Today is Young's last day at work so it won't be long now before he moves to Austin. Yay!

I thought about you while running a piddly three miles around Hyde Park. Keep up the good work of simultaneously inspiring us and putting us to shame!

Blimey!

You've been running across Germany for so long that the days are getting shorter.

Or do I misread your latest blog entry?

Cheers,

Stuart

My dad used to say "its a short walk from the Penthouse to the outhouse..." and you seemingly just proved the opposite is true as well.

GO RUSS!

Russell, Been keeping up. Keep pushing forward. The Octoberfest beer will be on me when you get back, if you still feel like German beer by then. You are an inspiration.

Was thinking about going for a run, but you're really covering enough ground for all of us commenting here (plus an entire army more).

Home stretch! Keep up the good work.

Russ, I had a dream about you last night... instead of a run you were swimming across Germany when Claire paddles up in a boat with birthday cake for you. Candles and all! So Happy Birthday and happy soon to be finisher. You are amazing.

You are our hero.
