Day 2

Hi all, Today's distance was 65k. completed in 7:28 and 10th place today which puts m in 6th place overall.
The course today was hilly and my hamstrings were not enjoying the trip! Neither was my stomach. Eventually both settled down and I had a good day. I never thought that freezed dried shepherd's pie (meat and mashed potatoes) could taste so good. Had 2 servings after the race; yummy. I was feeling like a celeb today, the local newspaper interviewed me this afternoon. Hopefully I can get a copy of the paper. Each day at the end of the race there is a banner we run under and many of the locals come out to cheer us on. It really is a nice race running through some lovely French towns. Last night the race organizers provided a delicious dinner of Spaghetti Bolognese. During the race today we had lots of bananas and oranges. Tonight though we are on our own, so I am waiting now for the french restaurants to open up for dinner!!
Tomorrow a slightly longer course 75k, hoping to do around 9hours. Wish me luck.

Great work! Glad to hear things are goind well. Keep up the good work. We're doing an all night 100k tonight and will remember you. You'll probably be running at the same time as we are.

Good luck!
